Ellen
Just read the other tire forums...might go with the new Hankook Vantras? Hi everyone, Getting new tires for our 1984 Dolphin. The RV came with Hankook RA08 and Yokohama 356. A tire supplier informed me the Hankooks are no longer made. Are Yokohamas the best? Are there any other tires people like? Thanks so much, Ellen
linda s
Well the Hankook model is just changed slightly and it's now the RA18. Still the right tire for our rigs. Lots of cheaper tires that people have been happy with like the Evergreens from Walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Evergreen-ES88-185R14C-OWL102-100Q/54485716 Here are a few other options https://www.tires-easy.com/tires/185-Blank-14?filtering=,price There was a time when I would have said the Yokohama's were the top brand but no longer. One of our members had some of them explode and they had good tread and were very old. Linda S
Ctgriffi
I am still happy with my Nexen SV820 set. Great price and very good tread on them. Probably not the quietest tire around but that's basically irrelevant, given the level of noise already present when roaring down the highway! linda s
I don't think Nexen makes that model anymore. When I search I get this with a weird size but D load and would work on our rigs. 185r14 is supposed to be equivalent to an 82 middle number but this is an 85. Size I have never seen before Linda S https://simpletire.com/nexen-185-85r14-14502nxk-tires?stmodel=roadian-ct8-hl&stcategory=other&sttype=passenger&gclid=CNGu3NuZlNQCFZGHaQodqCgBXA
Derek up North
Same thing. Just a question of how they set up their database. 80, 82, 85, I've even seen some where it's '185/0R14'.
