  1. I have edited the original post - perhaps the long length of the post was why only 1 person replied to the query? And it has only been a day since I wrote the content.... Regardless, here is the truncated version of the long, flowery, original post: 1. Any suggestions on roof solar panel installation? Or over cab roof install ideas? Solar system is in place already - wkng fine. Just beefing up - need advice on the best method for installing 2 100watt rigid glass panels. 2. Had a flexible solar panel on roof, adhered with duck tape - tape has left residue - need to remove that. 3. Seems roof has minor damage - cracks, small chips, few tiny holes. Would re-fiberglassing the damaged roof areas be the best solution? 4. Am installing a new roof vent - the ceiling vents that manually open and close, no fan on this one. Aside from using butyl tape and lap sealant, does anyone have suggestions on replacing old roof vents? Ok - am hoping by editing out all the conversational elements of my last post perhaps its more readable now and gets more replies, haha!
  2. First rain fall after getting my 1979 Sunrader and I found a nice surprise. I noticed some drips of water from the front windows, So I pulled the headliner off the over cab bed and found years of damage from leaky front windows. I'm looking for some advice on what to do with the wood that exists, and how to remove the rot, repair the wood I can salvage and reinforce it if necessary. The damage appears to only be in the middle of the bed area, and not on the side supports. I've resealed the window and caulked the rubber seals, as well there is a dehumidifier in there working away. Thank you.
  3. Newbie here. Recently bought a 1988 Sunrader and I somehow did not notice some body damage due to the joy of finding my Sunrader. This is my 3rd Toy. MH. On the pass. side lower rear quarter there is a piece missing from the wheel well back to just above the entry steps. Kinda triangular. About 5" high by the flair, approx. 20" long and 3" high above the steps. Does any body have a toy they are parting out and willing to take a sawsall to it and send me a slightly oversize repair piece ? Thanks, Tim.
  4. I looked back a good bit at the forum for this topic, didn't see it so I hope it's okay to start this as a new one. If we are ever lucky enough to find our heart's desire (a V6 Sunrader), if the roof needs repair how should it be done, since the roof is all fiberglass? I've done some fiberglass auto repair, and it almost never looks very good (MINE never looks very good). Thanks- and if anyone hears about a nice Sunrader looking for a good home, please holler, thanks!
