  1. Howdy yotafriends ~ I wanted to give ya a shout since we posted this up on TMC on Facebook. We are 3D printing the long lost weep hole covers at our design studio! We're passionate about keeping it open source so if you have a 3D printer or a friend with one I'm including a link to the .stl file for free download here ~ https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4756312 We're producing them in sets of 4 with a price break if you buy 12 or 16. Our Sunrader has 16 total. Details in the flyer in the first image. I'll post the eBay link we launched, but we are happy to take orders here on the forum or by email (it saves us some of their hosting fees). https://www.ebay.com/itm/274680632150 You can reach me by email at hannahmydeer@gmail.com (deer like the animal!) Shipping is $5 from Hood River, OR. These will fit 1977-1992 various Toyota campers - Sunrader, Dolphin, Odyssey etc. READ!! *These do NOT fit Toyota Winnebago Warriors or Itascas. See photos - they have a different style Hehr windows with a slim weep hole that doesn't require a cover. These WILL fit any Toyota campers and other vintage RV's of this era that used Kinro windows. The clearance of the weep hole is about 18.66 (about .75") if you think these might fit your rig. These covers help keep bugs out while still allowing drainage for the windows. I've also been told it stops your windows from "whistling" ***These are 3D printed out of *PLA* - we do not run ABS for toxicity reasons - but I have no reservations about these being hidden under the window lip away from exposure. They are clear coated to protect from UV damage. THAT SAID - they still should not be exposed to temps over 122'F long term. If you spend lots of time in Death Valley extreme temps these may not be for you. *** We'll also have this up on our Instagram @milesthesunrader if you have folks you'd like to share with on there. If you're on the road - we can always ship General Delivery to your nearest post office. stay safe & happy travels! Hannah
  2. Hey y'all, hope today is treating you well. Just picked up a Sunrader yesterday and I'm stoked! She's in pretty good shape for being 32 years old. Right now I'm trying to troubleshoot some issues with the water pump and plumbing. When I turn the water pump on, it will run until it has built up pressure (I suppose?) and then stop. Then as soon as I turn the kitchen sink on it kicks on again. If that's normal, cool, but I really have no idea since this is my first RV of any kind. But what doesn't seem normal is that it will at times shut off and I get no flow out of the sink. I'll flip the switch to off again, wait a while, then turn it back on and it will work, with water coming out of the kitchen sink. The hot and cold work on the kitchen sink, but only the hot on the bathroom sink and it doesn't seem like the shower works. The folks I bought it from winterized it and I seem to have run most of the pink antifreeze out of the cold line, but not the hot line. I left the sink running on hot (not sure if the water was actually hot) and it was quite pink. I opened the door to the bathroom and saw some pink bubbles coming up from the shower drain, as shown in the picture below. Could it be that the black water tank is full? Or the gray water? I don't think I ran THAT much water through the lines.... Thanks for your help!
  3. The P trap below the shower on my 1986 Sunland Express looks original, but has cracked. I ordered LaSalle Bristol (652011P) P-Trap Assembly which has an offset on the U-trap portion of 3.5 inches (Center to center of inlet to outlet). The old trap has an offset of about 4 inches (center to center). I'm having trouble finding that dimension listed for anything listed online. I'd rather not put stress on the shower pan or the grey water tank, so I'm looking for a replacement which either has the correct offset or some other creative solution. Has anyone replaced theirs and found a source? Another thought is that the grey water and black water go into the same tank on my camper. I don't love this, so I'm also open to ideas that would allow me to shower and not fill the black water tank. I know others have mentioned outside showers, and that may be the best solution. I only boondock, so my thought is that a bypass of the grey water coming from the shower and dropping directly to ground is the same as an outdoor shower except the benefits of privacy and no mud on the feet. If I were to add a bypass of the black water tank by adding a valve coming from the shower drain, I'd still need a trap after the bypass to prevent my current issue of black water tank gas creeping into the bathroom. Are there other environmental considerations? Has anyone done something like this?
