  1. So I new not only to this forum but to being an owner of a Toyota mini motorhome. There’s so many forum topics that I’ve been reading for what feels like days & some things I have yet to find. Hence why I’m posting this one. I’d appreciate all the help, advice, tips, suggestions, etc that I can get! Keep in mind that Although I’ve decided to take this on, I’m as green as the grass outside....in other words—dumb it down for me please!! Pretend you’re explaining things to a 5 year old....🤷🏼‍♀️😂. I knew I’d have water damage & of course when I start pulling out the panels in the over the cab bed area—I hit the mother load. **Is it possible to cover the larger window in the front of the cab (one facing straight out to the road)?? If so, HOW?!? I’d prefer it gone completely but I don’t have the skills to do that— covering it on the outside to help minimize water entering the area & to block the heat & cold is what I’m after. It has an aluminum frame in the bed area which is awesome for me, a beginner, but I’m not sure what plywood to use for the bed area. Also found some areas of the ceiling that need replacing & would appreciate any advice on how to approach that as well as type of plywood & type of panels to use as the outer, interior walls. I’m painting all of the interior so I not looking for anything more than what’s best to use for this purpose as well as structurally sound. Insulation suggestions for all areas—walls, bedding area & ceiling. I am also going to remove the old vent fans on the roof (and ac) replacing with ones that help circulate air, help with condensation & cooling the Inside. Suggestions PLEASE! I spoke with an rv guy in the area about the roof (roof is aluminum) and he said my best bet would be to reseal/caulk everything, use eternabond tape if needed, then cover with Dicor Elastomeric Metal RV Roof Coating. So planning to do this but was wondering if anyone else has done this & if so, any tips, suggestions, etc on whether there’s anything else (possibly not so expensive) that works as well. Anything else that you might think of that could help me— please don’t hesitate to tell me.
