  1. I had my mechanic, a 22r Toyota expert and also a knowledgeable sunrader individual, install the alternator. I trust him, he knows his stuff. I'm not sure if maybe things possibly got hooked back up incorrectly? @Maineah yes the orange extension cord is how I plug into shore power - didn't realize it wasn't standard ? - at this point I'm thinking the isolater went bad ( not sure if that would not let the battery feed to the motor home or not?! ) or maybe the converter is bad. I'm not sure how to access the converter given that it's in the same box as the fuse panel and not directly accessible. I'm attaching images from under the hood to see if anyone noticed anything strange. I'm not experienced in electrical at all and am trying to learn as I go. The motor home battery is at full charge but for some reason isn't making it back to the cabin. Thanks again for any help or insights.
  2. When I plug into shore power, everything works great. When I unplug, nothing works. I tested the camper battery and was getting 12v from it. I replaced all the fuses I could find. I have an isolater and a camper battery kill switch under the hood. This wasn't an issue previously but I recently had a new alternator put in because the previous one failed - when I got the camper back I couldn't get things to work without plugging in. The power panel, however, works fine. It lights up and shows the battery level etc. If I hit the kill switch under the hood, the panel won't work. For the life of me, I can't find the converter or any other breakers or fuses. I'm at a loss as to what's wrong. I am attaching a picture of what it looks like when I open the back hatch, where I plug in and also the fuse panel / breaker. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ?????‍♂️?
  3. Thanks @linda s I had the motorhome plugged in and everything was working fine...but when I unplugged nothing worked - I thought maybe that low indicator had something to do with it. On to the fuse panel to see if something went pop. ?
  4. Anyone know why this light is showing "Low" but when I test the battery condition via the panel it's full. ?
  5. Anyone know a good fix or replacement for these interior door latches?
  6. @linda s Ok, so do you want to set a time to come help me take the shower out? I bought it from a woman outside of LA about a year ago, it was called the "Susie Q"
  7. I'm still new here so let me know if these kind of posts should go somewhere else. I just saw this come up for sale on Craigslist - it's in Petaluma California. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/rvs/6175367542.html
  8. Ah yes, resale. I feel like someone will have to pry it out of my cold dead hands, but it's probably smart to think that way. The cooler / draining route is super smart, thanks @Iflyfish
  9. Hello. I have a 1984 Toyota Sunrader 18' - rear dinette. I don't have any desire to use the shower/bathroom and was considering removing it for extra space or turning it into storage. Wondering if anyone has done something similar or if anyone had any advice. Thanks, Tyler
