Fridge use on a long trip
sonny sunrader replied to V6 Seabreeze 92's topic in Coach ApplianceTech Issues
It takes only 15 amps DC to power the fridge when it is running on the alternator, which puts out 45+ amps. This leaves plenty of charging to charge the house and engine battery, the fridge is wired to run on DC only when the alternator is in operation, it won't run on 12VDC if not! Does not use the house or engine batteries no matter what. -
Fridge use on a long trip
sonny sunrader replied to V6 Seabreeze 92's topic in Coach ApplianceTech Issues
On my 86 rader, I have a 3way fridge, it will only run on 12VDC when the engine is running, so it is powered by the altenater so you are not using the house battery! -
I know that this has been discussed before, I need to match the cream colored paint on my 85 Sunrader. Someone said that a rust O leum color matches perfect, I need to know the color number. Would really appreciate the help, thanks for your time!

Installing aftermarket cruise control?
sonny sunrader replied to Royal's topic in General Discussion
Instead of C C has anyone tried putting in a hand throttle? It may work better, this is old school cruise control! -
Front "over cab" window and seal - '90 Seabreeze
sonny sunrader replied to Buck's topic in Coach ApplianceTech Issues
I had the front windows replaced in my sunrader, I took the whole window with out, the original glass I took out was plexieglass, I took both frames with windows in them to a auto glass repair shop, they can do the whote thing for you. Then you just need to seal the frame when you reinstall it! hope this helps! -
I'm installing a aftermarket cruise control, speed sensor on driveshaft, need to know how many pulses per mile. If I know the ratio I can take the tire dia. multiply times 3.14 to get how far it travels in one revolution, then divide that into 5280' to get revolutions in a mile, then multiply that times the gear ratio. This should give me the number of revolutions the driveshaft (pulses) turns in a mile. Could anybody help me out, Thanks.

I have an automatic 3way , it will only run on DC if the engine is running like when you're traveling to some place, so you don't have to worry about draining the house battery.

It was me, I figured it out, you have to take the black seal around the door on the outside. When you pop out the seal you will find screw heads, remove the screws, but not all at once. Do it in three steps, left side then go inside and pull the carpet out from between the door frame and the 2 by 2 under it. Replace the screws back into the 2 by 2, then repeat on the top, and then the left side. It was pretty easy if you done count all the staple you have to remove. When done replace the seal on the outside, goes in really easy.

It took a lot of pulling and tugging on the shag with staples in it before I discovered the self tapping screws! Some of the manufacturing under the carpet is pretty crude, mine is a 85' sounds like the same fine fabrication as your 86'. I'm determined to get the shag off of the door, even if I have to take a utility knife and cut it out! As for the shag roof piece, it looks like they glassed in a board then, I think they screwed the shag to the board. I think I'm going to find some burbur carpet that matches the headliner in color and put that in its place.
