  1. Well the hunt is over and it turns out it was the master cylinder. I was not letting the fluid back through and holding pressure on the rear brakes. The mechanic checked this by cracking the rear brake line loose at the MC and there was pressure on the line. He said the fluid should drain out but should not have pressure on it. Hope this helps someone else.
  2. WME thanks for the info. I think i am just gonna replace the valve and wheel cylinders and put on a new spring kit. The problem get worse the longer i drive it but if i let it sit for a few minutes the brakes release. Something is restricting the fluid and not allowing the brakes to release is my guess or the springs are worn out.
  3. Zero if you are out there could you help me with wheel cylinder and spring kit from Napa?
  4. Just got it back from the third shop and still having problems. Second shop only cleaned all the parts and it was working fine according to them. It wasn't. Last shop replaced the rubber brake hose and still having the same problem. The more I drive the worse it gets. What's next wheel cylinders and new spring kits? I ready to push it over a hill but the darn brakes stick and I cant.
  5. Thank you for helping with finding parts. I am looking for rear brake hoses for a 1987 toy 2wd 4 cyl. i checked rock auto and only found one for 1/2 ton any help would be great

  6. i have checked rock auto and best i can tell they only have rear rubber lines for 1/2 ton any suggestions
  7. Mechanic claimed they were releasing but i think i am going to replace rear rubber lines to see if that fixes it. I will update the out come.. Now to find correct lines.
  8. Well finally got rv back from the shop. They took it all apart and checked it. Wheel cylinders expanding and collapsing, no leaks, no broken springs, took for a test drive and worked fine. On my way home it worked well for a while. When i got close to home i could feel brakes starting to stick but not as bad as before. Seems like it gets worse the more they are used or the hotter they get. Could this be something in the master cylinder ??? I thought that was more of a loss of pressure when it went bad.
  9. I had run into this before on front brakes but didn't think there were any rubber lines on the rear
  10. I started to look into it only to realize i didn't have a jack big enough to get it off the ground. I have taken it to a shop for now and will update when i get results. I do want to thank everyone for the info on possible problems and how to find parts. Great forum with a lot knowledge.
  11. can't we all just get along lol and figure out my brake problem
  12. thank you for the info now i can at least get parts if i figure out whats wrong
  13. I have a 1987 Mini-cruiser and the rear brakes are sticking. If i go in reverse they seem to loosen some. The more i drove the worse it got. Took to one shop they claim they wiggled the emergency brake cable and it freed up the wheel and as long as i didn't set it again it would be fine......WRONG.If anyone else has had this problem please help. I am also curious whats the best place to get brake parts for these campers and what type of vehicle do i tell them i need parts for? Every time i tell them i have a Toyota motorhome they look at my like i have three heads and say we don't know how to look that up. Very new to this and any help would be great.
