  1. What can you tell me about the Escaper. This unit has 48,000 miles. Looks good but I don't know much about this unit. What can I expect in MPG with the 4 cylinder auto. I will request a pre inspection prior to sale. Any thing to be careful of. The engine, I think i a 22r but I am not sure. What lengtht were these model available in. This one seems short but my research indicates it should be a 21 footer? What might this motor home be worth? I would appreciate any suggetions that you folk might have.
  2. I am looking at a 1988 toyota escaper with the 4 cylinder auto trans. Is the 4 a better chice? MPG estimate?
  3. I am purchasing a 1993 Dolphin Motor home (toyota) v6, auto w OD and wonder if I can tow (has tow hitch) and if so how much weight, tongue as well as gross?). How much weight for luggage etc? I can potentially tow a motorcycle or a mazda Miata (2200lbs) or a harley golf cart (600lb, I would guess). Is it possible to tow any of these without potential damage to the V6 engine, transmission? What kind of mpg can I expect? Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
  4. I am in the process of purchasing A 1993 Dolphin Toyota Motor (505 model) home for 10,000. It's a bit rough but structurally solid. It has ac/cab and rooftop. Generator started right away. Fridge and stove worked fine. I drove it about 10 miles and all seemed well. I will need to clean up the exterior and may have it painted as well. all tires were new within two years. 90,000 on the motor. It was last inspected in Januaury of 2007 in North Carolina. Front portion cab etc is in good shape. The vehicle has seen no winters accordig to this owner. Back was damaged when backing up and this owner repaired that poorly (cosmetically). No sign of current leaks anywhere. Needs a thorough cleaning and maybe some new carpet (or shampoo it) and wall paper. I would appreciate any thoughts that might help me make an intelligent decision. Thank you in advance you for thoughts.
  5. I live in NY state and I hope to travel for part of each year after retiring. Toyotas seem like the only motor home that is affordable, dependable and reasonable to operate (mpg). How might I proceed to find a good Toyota motor home and insure it is in good working order etc. I did some research on the axel and head gasket updates on the v 6. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
