  1. Thanks. I inflated the airbags to 60 and 90 PSI on the driver side. Driver side is still lower about an inch, but the springs looks better. I have reservations for the month of June so I will keep driving the way it is now and will look at replacing the leafs in beginning of July.
  2. Thank you for the tips. I guess we will get the leafs replaced then. Unfortunately right now we are on the road and on a tight schedule. Do you think it safe to drive with such suspension for about 3 weeks (~800miles)?
  3. We noticed that our 86 dolphin driver side is probably 2-3 inches lower than the passenger's side. Both airbags are inflated to 50PSI. Looked at the rear suspension and noticed that leaf springs look really flat. I thought it should be more arched. I am attaching pictures below. What do you think? If it needs to be replaced, what kind of shop do we need to go to?
  4. We will be installing 3 100W solar panels on the roof of our new 86 Dolphin. Panels are 47"x21". Each panel comes with 4 brackets and each bracket has 2 holes. It means drilling 24 holes if I go simple way. Seems kind of a lot. Any alternatives? Maybe I could get two aluminum rails and install them parallel with just 4 holes in total. Then mount the panels on two rails. How do you find the best place to drill in the roof? The top layer of the Dolphin roof is aluminum, or am I wrong? Maybe somebody can advice what is the sandwich of the roof? Is it wooden beams-plywood-aluminum? Thanks a lot for any advice.
  5. Thank you for valuable advice! From the pictures 4 cylinder looked better, so we went to see it. Loved it and took it on the spot. It was very well maintained by previous owners. It's winterized, so could not try all the appliances, but whatever we tried - worked. Can't wait to take it on the road.
  6. Hi, We are in the market for toyota motorhome and currently looking at two Dolphins: 1987 4Cyl (50K) and 1992 6Cyl (130K). Both are quite far, so hard to see both. Need to choose one. Quite a dilemma... Which one would you choose? Are both based on the same truck? Are the appliances similar or 92 has more modern? Does 4cyl get better mpg? From reading threads here, I understand that 4cyl is more reliable, is that true? Is 4cyl powerful enough to climb mountains or is 6cyl a lot more powerful? Really appreciate your input
