  1. To klark2d4: I received a message that you were trying to contact me about the ladder but the email keeps coming back.
  2. I too used the ladder to wash and wax the top of my Sunrader and it worked just fine before I tied my 105 lb Lab to it and he took off chasing a squirrel. Not the brightest move I've ever made. I like the idea of a ladder going all the way to the ground (ie Cimmaron) just a little more stability but I'm not sure the length would fit. The extension ladder is a good idea too because you could adjust the height. I'm still trying to figure out a way to salvage the original but aluminum is not easy to work with. It sounds like no matter which ladder I choose, I will have to tear up the inside to anchor it and that's a bummer.
  3. To jdemaris: Hope it warms up for you - I live in California so it would be quite a drive but we could certainly use a bit of that melted snow. I think your step/support platform was a great idea.
  4. Thank you both for all the great information and advice. Now I know what to do when I find a replacement ladder. This was my first time using this site. It's nice to know there are experienced Sunrader owners who are willing to share their expertise. Thank you again.
  5. I have an '83 18' Toyota Sunrader - the roof ladder was recently damaged to the point it is not useable and I used it all the time to put on the cover, clean the roof, etc. I've worked really hard the past two years on fixing-up "Buttercup" and my goal is to have everything repaired and working. My questions are: 1. Where can I find another ladder? and 2. What is the best way to remove it and install a new one? Thanks so much.
