  1. im getting a paint job for it soon. has very minor body damage and i was wondering how much it would cost to get it painted
  2. It gets me thinking that you were the first one to reply....
  3. Im not sending you messages i just clearly told people to ignore fellas that act immature or make rude comments.
  4. Cool good to know! and the reason im asking is because i want to put a dirtbike rack on my dolphin and i want to remove as much "useless" weight as possible. just things like that. or things i wont be using in the rv. and i think if i can get 50-100 pounds of stuff off it. it can make up for the 200 pound dirtbike. plus im kind of a pack rat and the fact that im really organized makes me feel i will be weighing down the rv very much
  5. Well i feel the need to say something since i started this controversial thread. Fred health first time ive seen you post but i gotta say i perfectly understand what your saying about the 3 people you named they are very helpful and respectful to peoples ideas. people like that are the reason people come back to this site. just straight out friendliness not arguments. however JD: i understand where your coming from because you try to help someone out by giving like you said advice through expirience, and you see somebody that is posting things that are irrelevant and innacurate and i do understand your need to correct the situation especially when that same person is verbally attacking you.But for that i recommend you just IGNORE, and you probably wont be the only one ignoring that person. and as for stamar do us a favor and take fred's advice go post stuff on yahoo dude.. this is an awesome helpful site lets keep it that way.
  6. restoring my 86' dolphin i run into these wheel trims as im gonna clean my tires and wheels. I was wondering if there was any additional purpose to these besides cosmetic. Thanks for answering all my random questions. OH and if somebody is interested in the bike rack in the picture you can have it for free since i have no use for it It's pretty beat up but with a good cleaning and some 50 cent foam padding it can look new again.
  7. JD: thanks great advice and a cool story will look at the link shortly. its really cool to find helpful people online. instead of people that act alot younger than they probably are.... ↑↑↑↑
  8. Thats awesome my wife and I are looking to get something for around $10,000. and do something very similar towich you did. sounds like you know what your doing both rv and property.
  9. JD: I gotta say that is an awesome cabin you guys built, a job well done it looks like from the pictures, THUMBS UP! i plan on buying property this year and im considering doing something like that. how much would a lot like that cost somewhere in california, also in the woods.
  10. buy mine! its a 3.0 rv genset by onan its on my dolphin but im going solar and i want to get rid of it. works good starts right up (when i have over half a tank of gas wich is anther reason why im not hanging on to it) ill put up pictures. NOTE: these are google pictures mine is the same model but its still in the rv. Buyer must remove. i will help.
  11. Is my fridge most likely a 12v fridge because its an rv fridge? if so can i power it with one house battery to keep it on all the time? ps will be charging battery with solar panels this is how i plan on doing it when i get a new fridge but if i don't have to sell it i can hang on to it. unless it uses too much power
  12. Find out how much power your gonna draw then get enough solar to power that and enough batteries so that you'll have some charge in case you don't get solar for a few days get an inverter big enough to power the stuff you'll be running and your good.. ps i don't know a whole lot about this but i'm in the process of getting solar in my rig as well and i'm still learning a lot of this stuff too.
  13. Alright so i just want to be safe when it comes to having power in my rig. I dont wanna be out somewhere with no power all the time. Heres what ill be running you guys can tell me what i need. - LED lights all through out 4-6 hrs a day - 2 cell phone chargers 3-5 hrs a day - laptop charger 5 hrs a day - verizon mifi will be plugged in 4-6 hrs a day - house computer will be set up as well with one of those plug in adaptors that hold a charge in case of power outtage while im working on the pc. 2-4 hrs a day - xbox 360 2-5 hrs a day - lcd 35 inch tv 2-5 hrs a day - small fans during summer 3-5 hrs a day -might of forgetten something but thats basically most things il be running. No a/c No heater (maybe a miniature one from walmart) No microwave (as i mentioned before i dont mind cooking my meals) If somebody could help me calculate just about how many batteries i need.how much solar wattage and what size inverter. i would really appreciate it. And another question.. if im using say 500 watts of power..would a 1,000watt inverter and a 1,500 watt inverter pull the same amount being only the 500 watts. or would the 1500 pull more?
  14. i want to have a boost on my verizon mifi so i could get 4g most of the time moneys not a problem long as i dont exceed $1,000 dollars on a antenna
