  4. can anyone tell me where the spare tire was kept originally in a 1979 toy dolphin??
  5. you guys got me thinking so i went and checked the pump.i cant read anything except that it says for a 6 cyl.it has the stock carb.i will look for another pump thats better matched to my 4 cyl. thanks
  6. i have a 79 dolphin that had a fuel pump problem.i installed an electric pump on the fender well.it does pull fuel through the old pump.my gas guage works.but the gas mileage suffered badly.i now get approx. 12 mpg.but it does run.
  7. derek is correct. in the 79 dolphin both batteries were under the hood.the one on passenger side starts the engine the other for the coach.if you plug into 120 volts you can work on it without battery.
  8. thank you found the problem it was at the converter as you said. all is well in the old palace and will resume my winter fishing trip. larry
  9. the ground wire has been bolted to the frame and was working fine. the black wire goes all the way to the rear wheel then into the house but i cant find it to continue tracing
  10. ok went for a little winter fishing trip and the lights just went out.battery is fine.works when plugged in.traced the wire from the battery to the back wheel area then it disappears into the house and i cant find out where it goes. also rewired the ground connection.i cant find any fuses except the one in the ground wire. its a 1979 dolphin. any ideas??? larry
