I have a 1991 Toyota Itasca and the bumper is just box steel bolted directly to the frame so trailer hitch is no problem. My motor has been upgraded from a 3.0L to a 3.4L and I believe it would have enough power to do the job.

For parts remember the cab is just a regular 1987 Toyota pickup you can get parts at any auto parts supply store or online parts store Amazon or eBay. Rockauto.com is good. For the coach you can pick up some parts at any RV parts supply store. For really hard parts that you can't find anywhere this is the best place to post your request, guaranteed someone else has already found that impossible part to find and will respond or they will have an alternate solution.

A used exhaust manifold is just as good as a new one and I see them laying around in the salvage yards every time I go there if you choose to go that route.

The way I used to do it is the put the gasket inside of the frame then run a nylon string inside of the gasket all the way around with the ends hanging out place the glass on top of the gasket press down on the glass as you pull one end of the string over the glass it pulls the lip of the gasket over the glass. Tricky if you've never done it before but there should be YouTube videos on how to do it.

I have the same vehicle and I use the Walmart total synthetic brand 20,000 miles oil and filter. Engine Oil has come a long ways over the last few years and one day in the future all you will be able to buy is totally synthetic. If in doubt just Google it and you will find brand names aren't any better than the cheaper brands and just more expensive because of marketing. All oils have to meet the same government standards.

When mine broke I just took the glass out and replaced it with a white polycarbonate or PVC sheet from home Depot It was easy and you could cut the material with a knife or shears. You may want to reinforce it on the back with a sheet of plywood if needed.

After having to tap the starter every 15 or 20 starts to get it to engage I finally took the starter out and cleaned it but that was not the problem the problem was the solenoid wire that plugs into the side of the starter was just snugly laying in the connector and not snapped in all the way. I have the 6 cylinder and the only way to get the starter out is to turn it and work it up next to the the exhaust header after removing the exhaust header heat shield. I hope you have small hands it's not easy.

Thanks Linda, but I already purchased one of those 3 row equivalent radiators and it didn't help. I was thinking of something more like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175624217192 But this would be for a 4 wheel drive Toyota PU. It has to say RWD Toyota PU. That is where I made my mistake in ordering. I have searched a lot and I do not think there is one like that and no 4 row either. I might try the redline Water Wetter.

I upgraded my 3.0 to a 3.4 motor and it runs at correct temperature all the time except when climbing mountains which makes it start over-heating. My friend has the same issue. We have tried various fixes but still the same issue. I want to replace the 2 row stock radiator with a 3 row. Internet sites advertise they have it and it is a direct fit but when I order and receive it they are around 3 inches to tall. Does anyone know where I can purchase a 3 row radiator that really is a direct fit for a 1991 Toyota PU?

Next time it happens try this, Just tap the body of the starter while someone turns the key, if it starts then you know for sure it is the solenoid sticking. I have that issue with mine and it happens after around every 20th or so start up. I plan to remove and clean or replace starter if it ever gets worse. You can use a hammer or long pipe or just about anything to give the starter a couple good raps on its side.

I don't think so, when I bought my 1991 it had only 35,000 mi on it and I've seen others for sale with real low mileage. Some original buyers purchase them and only go on one or two trips a year and then just keep it in storage for many years.

I agree, I have to close the bathroom door, close the window blind and get down on my knees and cup around that glass with both hands. I hope someone has a suggestion I don't.

Okay after 7 years and 150,000 miles my peel and stick vinyl flooring is wearing out here's a picture. But I can pull up all the old ones and use them as a pattern so it'll be easy to replace with peel and stick again.

Thank you for correcting me on the other post about TOS does not do 22RE swaps. Sounds like they now do all models. That looks very professional. Amazing that people like you would still spend $10,000 on their 40 year old rig just on the motor upgrade but it is not a bad investment because you could put a rig like yours on Facebook and sell it for $20,000 to $25,000 probably in one day of listing.

$8500 would be from a 6 cylinder 3.0L/3vze to a 3.4L/5vze I don't believe TOS does a 22r swap. There has only been a few 4Runner enthusiasts that have done a 22r swap themselves. I have done the 3.0 to 3.4 which is not that easy and a 22R swap would be way harder.

I visited three RV shops and finally talked to a woman that remembered a customer coming in needing the exact same weather strip which is no longer produced. On my 1991 Winnebago Itasca side sliding window I tried to remove the rubber weather strip to clean it and it broke into pieces because it was so brittle. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Yeah ZEP is the best, mine lasted 4 years but I really should have redone it last year. If the stripper works then you can go for the 5 coats. Normally before applying ZEP for the first time you need to scrub surface with Barkeepers Helper to get a perfectly clean surface.

Do not buy covers from Hengs Industries They are listed on Amazon and Ebay. After 2 years the plastic just crumbles like a flaky pastry.

I had a small coolant leakby the water pump on my 3.0. Took out the water pump and changed gasket and still had the leak. Took out the thermostat and put sealant where the pipes come together and that fixed it.
