  1. your dolphin layout is the same as my 89 seabreeze and is a great layout imo cause you can actually sit at the dinette table with your feet on the floor! Other layouts have the table over the wheel wells and your foot area up 6-8 inches...I could not put my feet under the table in one toy I looked at! Had to sit with my feet in the aisle!
  2. John...you have the same LP tank I do...on mine, there are TWO labels, one says to fill it horizontally and the other says to fill it vertically...what does yours say ??
  3. I test drove two 4 cyl toys before I drove the 6 cyl that I bought ... I honestly believe the only ones who like the 4 better are those who never test drove the 6 !! Test drive one of each before buying if u can.
  4. COME ON ALREADY!!...ENOUGH of this white *rap!!!!...we got about 6 inches of heavy sleety snow last night. Even with the tarp it took 30 minutes to get the %$ off!!!
  5. had staining by my a/c and ceiling vents...removed inside trim and saw raw wood in cutouts. A raw edge in plywood and luan will suck up water like a sponge...so I cleaned off dirt and butyl caulk that was in openings and applied 2 coats of paint... sealed the outside of the vents with 2 coats of brush-on geocel sealer, its like having a rubber coat on the plasic roof flanges that crack...any water that ever does get in will drip out the weep holes I am going to drill in corners of vent trim and a/c cover instead of soaking into the ceiling itself.
  6. check this pic out from geysergazer... http://toyotamotorho...album&album=125 ....the 3rd pic in the top row... looks like a good way to have A/c without the big roof unit...a small 5,000 btu wall unit would run on a 1000 watt generator ...I plan on doing a lot of boondocking and will only have a 1000 watt geny with me...plus I could get rid of the roof A/C and put in a fantastic fan in its place, and wont hit my head on the A/C anymore!
  7. 16x24 ... at first I had a 12x20, but that size did not cover the windows all the way...I didnt want water freezing behind the window moldings either, so I sprung for the bigger size.
  8. blahhhhh!!...more snow today!.....pics show why I like a tarp vs no tarp...pic 1 is before and pic 2 is 15 minutes later!...snow slides off effortlessly! I would never let snow on the roof all winter. Water will get into the smallest crack in cauked spots, freeze and expand which makes crack bigger...next freeze-thaw cycle makes crack bigger, etc, etc...before u know it crack is all the way thru and water gets inside. Tarp is a 16x24 which covers the roof and halfway down the sides to cover windows...I have 3 roof vents with maxair covers and a/c unit and put a upside down laundry basket in the 2 spaces between vents to support the tarp from front to back.
  9. OK...the led is the light on the left........and I got the new order delivered today from china...only took 8 days thinking I will do like Greg did and break the glass on my 1141s and solder the leds to the socket rather than to the switch like I did with the 1st one
  10. John...is your battery new or the old one that came with the RV??...by my calculations, you should have used about 2.2 amp hours for the 2 minutes of use....a good 80 amp hour battery should give about 40 amp hours going from full to half charge...so unless I'm totally wrong, your battery does not seem good.
  11. Glad they didn't have any toyota sea breezes in that race...would have broke my heart to see one destroyed like that!! Surprised they held the turns without tipping over...good to know they dont flip easy!
  12. viking 66...the bayonet base they give you does not fit fixture socket (it is too small), so u have to solder it in
  13. http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item27b5740117 these LEDs that krilov posted about are really nice imo...here are some pics, led is in one and incandescent in the other....which one is led?? I metered them for amp draw, the led pulled .24 amps, the incan pulled 1.38 amps...so u can use 6 led lights for the amp draw of 1 incand !!...so u can sit on the sofa with 1 incan or have the whole rv lit up with LEDs for the same amps!! the only fault with them is the base does not fit socket so I had to solder the adapter to the switch...but for $5 a bulb I will do it! double click pics to enlarge
  14. krilov....I ordered 1 of them to try and I got it yesterday....I used 1 of the adapters they give you, cut of the end and soldered it to the load side of switch and to ground.....tried it and like it a lot, will be ordering more for all the rest of my lights...I think I like them more than the incandesent ones!
  15. how about if they are 19 years old??!!....date code on mine indicates they were made in 92 !...guess I will be buying new ones before taking it camping. Have to say they still held air good when I drove it to PA from wisconsin where I bought it in October, but can see cracks and dont trust them.!!
  16. Have you tested the charging capabilities of the new converter yet by putting an amprobe on it to measure charging amps?? I am looking to upgrade mine as well. RVdaytrader
  17. saw this pic in this article and I kinda like it! ... I plan on spending a lot of time in secluded areas and this mite help hide my yoda a bit! http://www.fieldands...pray-paint-camo
  18. krilov...you said..."FYI, The bayonet base that comes with the bulbs are tiny. I didn't notice the measurements, when I first ordered."...do they work in the 1141 sockets OK, or do you have to install some other way?? Thanks, RVdaytrader
  19. krilov....how bright are these compared to a 1141 bulb?? At that price I would change all of mine if bright enough! thanks, RVdaytrader
  20. just ordered my Yoda's xmas present... 4 monroe gas-magnum shocks....got them from shocksandstruts.com for $121.92 delivered for the 4 shocks.... 34953s front and 34803s back...advance auto wanted about $40 bucks more RVdaytrader
  21. Minnesota Mama....I also heard about bounce sheets and put the in my seabreeze 2 weeks ago...so far no mice, I have 2 traps set with peanut butter inside and check them daily in case they decide they dont mind the bounce sheet smell!!!....but so for they seem to be working! RVdaytrader
  22. looking to buy LEDs to replace incandecent bulbs in my seabreeze lights....saw these and wondering if anyone has tried them, or other ones, in their MH...here is link http://www.ledtraile.../rv/RV-1141.htm would save big on battery draw if they give decent light!
  23. I noticed a soft spot on wall about a foot down from front corner of dinette window on my seabreeze.....window had not leaked, further checking found culprit to be the lighted door handle. Whoever installed it had no butyl caulk under the sealing edges, they just screwed it to the wall and had a bead of caulk around the edges AND bottom...the caulk on the bottom edge actually kept the rain water IN the housing and it got into the wall there. Anyone with a lighted door handle may want to check it to see if it was sealed properly!....mine is a 1989 seabreeze and this is the only soft area I could find anywhere, overall it is in good shape and we cant wait till spring to use it!!
  24. Hi all...just bought a 1989 sea breeze in wisconsin and drove it home to PA where I want to register and title it. But I need the gvwr rating and that info is not on the doorjam tag!...the VIN# is on it, but no weight ratings. Anyone else ever have this problem? How can I find this needed info?....Thanks in advance to any replies! RVdaytrader
