  1. I think I paid close to $300. Output varies but the highest I got was about 120A when running AC on the giant inverter (measured with my own amp meter) I also had to replace the belt as it uses smaller pulley to get higher RPM for idle charging current. I also had to replace the stock cable with #2/0 welding cable. It was a lot of work and I don't think I would do it again. The guy from the site was very helpful
  2. I've used the small dorm fridge for years without issues! Nice work
  3. I wouldn't! HG failure often does not happen immediately. If you have time to spare and are concerning; you can try the compression test, leak down test, and testing for combustible gas in the coolant system to filter out any sign of HG failure. I tend to stick with the original HG from factory unless it fails. My 2 cents!
  4. I ordered one from https://www.excessiveamperage.com/ and so far so good; kind of pricey but it works well so far
  5. This van is pretty cool and reliable too. I think it has the same 2.4L engine as the truck. There was some safety concern when there is nothing in front to protect the driver. It would be better if it's 4WD
  6. I replaced mine with generic ones...had to drill holes and put stainless steel bolts...about 2-3 hrs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LBB68VV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I can snap a pic. if you need to see it. I replaced the bathroom one.
  7. I live in Pacheco...would you mind sharing your mechanic contact info.? I've got a few things that I haven't the time to do. You can also have him contact me at 925.804.5535. Thanks
  8. Did anyone ended up installing one in the Toyhome?
  9. one thing I am concerning is where to find the roof support? it's aluminum...and for house, I can just use the hammer, taping to it and I can feel the roof rafter...Yes I install rooftop solar once in awhile ... but for the RV's Aluminum roof... I am clueless. The other option is to drill all way thru the roof and use a big washer with thru bolt...nothing worse than having the solar panel flying off the roof
  10. I got 3 of these...planning on mounting on the roof soon...any tips/trick/advise? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BFCNFRM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I think there is enough space. I run the fridge all the time...not sure if it will be enough...may need a second 100Ah batt....need room for that too. Nam
  11. I really thing we should do nothing...just to recap. Hook up the fan to near by 12V source and call it the day...
  12. I converted that Romex from 120V to 12V to run a roof vent after removing the old AC unit. Thanks Dan for the wiring diagram which is very helpful
  13. Tri_cab...interesting
  14. My mfg recommendation pressure was 26 PSI...I think it's too low. I ran mine at 40PSI....a little bumpy...
  15. Mine is missing some clips that make them rattle as well...I am frequent to Sacramento areas...may check Dr. George out sometimes
  16. Check out Aleko new awning, they have 40% off on going...not sure how good they are
  17. I like the idea Linda...throwing 2 solar panels on the roof...so I don't have to plug it in every time.... For the brace, I would live it alone...sealing the roof to make sure it does not leak and enjoy!
  18. Call Juan 510.355.7774. He's mobile mechanic; you may be able to work on it on a public parking lot somewhere (Park and ride) in emergency possibly. I met him once and had never worked with him in the past. He's based out of Hayward
  19. great deals. I did have similar PTMS installed 3 years ago. It works great and give me a piece of mind. Mine also has temp. display. Only down side is batt. needs repl. every 1.5 - 2 yr. cheap and easy compared to those OEM internal TPMS sensors

  21. love those pictures. Good luck selling it; it's unique though
  22. I think it's a great idea; behind the ladder is the closet so 1"x4" board would work; otherwise I can't think of a way to find stud. Thanks for the tip
