  1. Rvplease - pm me and let ,e know where you are in NY....will answer any questions that you have...check the toyota camper group as I responded to you there as well...
  2. Thanks for the close up pictures and the explanation!! I may have to try it again!! Great Job!!
  3. Just tried this mod myself. Unfortunately the kit that I bought from amazon didnt come with any mounting screws and was double the price of yours. I returned it .....I was thinking of mounting the actuators all the way on the left side of the door behind the metal panel directly to the panel ...I am very interested in how you make out with this!! Would you please let us know?? Thanks
  4. Would be interested!! I think there is a new england toyota group on facebook that you may find some interest from as well!! Rockland is beautiful!!
  5. I got fed up with my cab over window leaking...after replacing it and removing it to reseal over and over..I put a fiberglass panel in to replace the window. I dont have wrap around windows but the window was not flat...with the help of a good friend ..found an old fiberglass truck cap at the dump. I used the old window as a template and cut a fiberglass piece from the truck cap. Then used car body 2 part epoxy (expensive) to glue in the piece...used screws to hold it in until it set. Then tried my best fiberglass filling techniques to blend the new piece with the existing body. Painted over the whole thing with topside boat paint. It didnt come out bad for a rookie and I am super happy not to worry about a soggy bed anymore!! I replaced all of the rotted wood and paneled over the inside and am now working on some lighting to brighten up the space.
  6. I washed mine. They are a soft material with the vinyl on the bottom. Had to run them through 2x as they had never been washed. Washed regular cycle and detergent but air dryed. They are faded but in great shape and they handled the washing very well....I also did the driver and passenger seat covers same type of material....did them all when I replaced the foam.
  7. WOW!! Very impressive and the pictures are great!! Love your turtle!! What did you use to paint the outside? Tortuga (fellow turtle owner)
  8. not mine but just saw this http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/zip/5573686291.html
  9. Thank you so much for your reply and the information! Love your conversion idea and appreciate the links!
  10. The rear tail light and blinker sockets on my mototrhome are mounted on the side of fixtures. Do I need to find a 90 degree angled led replacement bulb or will a regular led provide enough light? I have read conflicting information about the color of the bulbs...do they need to be the same as the lens color? I will be using 1156 and 1157 replacements. Thanks Barbara
  11. Would love yo hear about your trip! Will you have internet access while you are traveling? May be making the same trip in reverse in the fall...would like to know about routes to avoid or take and things to see along the way!
  12. Maybe a class B cover would work. http://www.pplmotorh...ard&OVNDID=ND1
  13. There were 1987 Nova Star twins at the Northern New England Toyin this past weekend. A real treat to have two rare coaches in one place! Thank you to our wonderful host and hostess for sharing your beautiful paradise with us all. Good times and great memories. Looking forward to next year already!
  14. I just found some more info...the beginning of an archived article in the LA Times from Oct 31, 1982 announcing the New Horizon micro mini from a company called Holloway DeBraal. The only info that came up on a search of Holloway DeBraal were 2 safety recalls on 1985 New Horizon for rear suspension over load and dual rear wheel pinholes and cracks by the valve stems. The latter effected 5 vehicles. New Paris travel trailers and 5th wheels come up under some searches as well. I will keep digging....
