  1. good luck on your find. the problem you have is that most peep not that interested first because it is not 4wd which was what bandits were noted for building. then the rear axle is based on the weaker 4cycl axle. not a full floating axle or the v6 axle which is stronger. I believe the fridge is only a two way that is why I did not see an exhaust on them. but other then that it is fairly fine vehicle for traveling.
  2. I have an 84 sunrader 18". I removed the dometic fridge cause i blew the coils. So this is what I have done instead. I bought an edge star portable fridge. It runs on 12v/24v or 110 a/c. It fits in with limite modification. Power usage is about 4 amps per hour for the first 3 hours o start up then reduces to 1/2 to 1/4 time on off. I need help. What kind of fitting do I need to use to plug up the propane pipe. What is it with the extra wires. There is black and red wire for + then two white wires for ground. Do I need to keep these wires? tx in advance
  3. its a 1984 sunrader dometic rm461 I believe the exact repalcement is the rm2410 model. it only had 21,000 miles on the vehicle hardly any use. I was new to these frigs and i had it running for an hour with the bubble off. that is why it blew. so only coil damage everthing else pristene
  4. was wondering if anyone else's floor board is flexing underneath them and the gas tank "pops" when you release the pressure. I do have the 26 gallon tank. what kind of support do you need tx.
  5. my dometic died on me. ammonia spewwed. was wondering anyone in the east bay area, ca would know a place that would recondtion the pipes and refill the ammonia. tahnk you in advance
  6. that is what kyb tech said too. but it just seams easier to get the part since the shock will be coming out
  7. tx for the 411 Brad
  8. I know its a long shot but does any one have the part number of the rear shock on a nissan sunrader for a dually model 1984 2wd. either kyb or bilsteins. was not sure if the regular 2 wd model would work. seems like noone knows that a dually model came to america. not even kyb or bilstein.
  9. i have to assume if its not the starter I believe strongly its the ground. sand the ground a little or get new ground wires.
  10. looks like you are looking at alisting in arcada on craigslsit. what ever you do the less problems it has the better. also pay attention to how everyting runs because i failed to listen to my seller i now know nothing on how to operate the appliances. heres the rational on price. 1. price 2. you chose a sunrader because size, layout, fiberglass body, low maintance 3. good gas milage 4.easy to drive 5 insuarance is cheaper yada yada yada. on a 10000 mile trip you can save 2 grand on gas from 17mpg to 8 mpg. savings come quickyl without increased use. 6 safety maynot be your high point thus the price. 7. what can you get for 10 grand?
  11. the best web site to go to is pirates 4x4 or marlin crawler. 2wd toyotas get converted all the time. sas would be the easiest way. you do have to move the transmission mount because it is longer. good idea to have a donor vehicle as well but necessary. i am assuming that you have a toyota.
  12. in the world of moving, moving such huge masses one can do couple of things. increase horsepower/ bigger engine/ or change gear ratio instead of 4'10 go 4'88 or decrease tire size. 22 re is cheap and reliable and easy to find parts. 3.0 again easy to find parts 150 hp about 40 more hp then 22re. 3.0 has some headgasket issues it was recalled back in th 90's. nake sure head gasket was repaired by toyota. could save you a grand. either way these motors aren't gonna get you there fast. I think that you are aiming to get an automatic then i would say go get the v6. i have a auto on my 22re it was slow very slow but i converted to 5 speed vast improvement.
  13. actually 22r and 22re is a 2.4 liter engine. the name on the engine is deceptive it has 2387 cc.
  14. I thank you in advance. which camping world will you be going to?
