  2. so here is a R151F bellhousing from a '87 turbo 4x4. would it work in a 2wd application with the 22re 4cyl? So with this bellhousing I need to look for the R150 or R151 2wd transmission correct? what other issues might I encounter? drive shaft length, stock cross member not fitting, shifter location? http://seattle.craig...2984945209.html
  3. 43422-60010 is the part number I used for those gaskets for my 1987, price varies from .77 to a little over a dollar depending what dealer or online source you use. That is a toyota part number
  4. I know of a couple of w56 2wd transmissions for sale near me, was thinkng about swapping out my w46 for a w56, another toyota board a read praises the w56. and it is hard to find a 2wd version now having second thoughts about it. But I really would like a 5th gear and a transmisson that will swap out easy with a 22re . My rear diff is a 3.90
  5. I have heard good things about the W56 5 speed transmission. can you elaborate any on why 5 speeds are weaker than 4 speeds Thanks
  6. just north of Seattle, not mine just thought I would post a FYI link http://seattle.craig...2986258720.html
  7. Ok thanks everyone for the help on this. If anyone is interested the Toyota part number for the rear shoes is 04495-35180 and cheapest place i could find them is http://www.toyotapartseast.com/ $85 shipped. Just ordered them up. i will get the seals form Autozone and repalce them as well and clean and repack the bearings
  8. thanks, did not really think about going to a toyota dealer, but I will give it a shot was already planning on repacking the bearings, and possibly replacing the seals. i know all this is available at autozone
  9. Looking for shoes, but where ever I look online list dfferant sizes and mostly for regular single wheel toyota's, so I am not exactly sure what I need
  10. Antone have a good source for rear brakes on these rigs? I have a '87 1 ton dually cab/chassis flatbed Thanks ">
  11. So are you the one that bought it? I saw that auction last week, than when i looked again it was gone and than re-listed. Than when i put the link on this board it sold quickly Hopefully you are the one who bought it, or someone else here, for the record it was not my auction
  12. Here is one to think about, would need to make a road trip but it is brand new and has everything you need, he is accepting offers on it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Truck-RV-1-Ton-Rear-End-Differential-NEW-/300592083539?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45fcaf3253
  13. I like that tach, can you give me more info on it, who makes it whre did you buy Thanks
  14. Not sure where in Washington State you are, but there is a spring shop in Everett, Wa that does good work. as you said this is the most expensive route to go. I took my 87 Toyota 1 ton flatbed dually in there for a quote. They wanted something like $600 to re-arch my springs and add 2 new ones on each side. I did not get the work done, but I know they do good work there. Here is the link http://www.aalbubrothers.com/index.html
