  1. The bottom shower pan and the seams in the shower walls are shaking apart. The screws are vibrating out of the pan. What can I replace them with that will stay in. I tried putting white duct tape along the shower wall seams and it just fatigued in the corners. Are there other tapes of patching techniques that will work better? Thanks Larry
  2. Thanks, That makes a lot of sense. What do you think could be causing it to burn valves? Larry
  3. I have a 90 Winne 3.0 V6 auto with 74k. Just before I bought it at 62k it burnt a valve on the right bank. The prior owner did a valve job on the right. Now, 12k later I have a burnt valve on the left bank. It burns no oil. Compression test is about 150 on all cyliners except the bad one, which is 25 lbs. It still has quite a bit of power but runs a little rough at idle. I am being told by my mechanic that the extra compression created by a valve job risks damaging the lower end, such as throwing a rod. They are recommending a rebuilt engine instead. Almost half a century ago I was a car mechanic. I did valve jobs all the time with no problems with the lower end. I am told that modern engines are different, but they look the same to me. What is the reality here? Can I do a valve job safely or are the telling me the truth? Also, it is my conjecture that the fuel injection running lean is causing it to burn valves. It that accurate and what needs to be done to the FI to solve this? If not, what else could be causing it to burn valves Thanks Larry
  4. I have a 91 winnebago micromini, "igloo cooler on wheels." Half of the screws are comming out of the foam core all over it. How do I create something in the foam core to give the screws something to bite into. Would squirting something like Liquid Nails into the screw holes fill the foam and give the screws something to connect with. Or, do you have any other suggestions to get screws to bite into my igloo cooler. Larry
  5. I have a 91 Winnebago Micromini (Toyota 1 ton chassis with duals.) I want to install overloads but I am not sure what will fit. It has blown air bags now, so I do not want to repeat that. I checked with the Super Spring factory and because of the way the rear torsion bar is, their overloads will not fit. My local spring shop wants $1300 to "rearch" and add a leaf to the springs. This seems way too expensive. So the question is, what I overloads fit this RV? thanks Larry
  6. I just bought a 90 Warrior. It has a ding in the panel below the floor line. It looks easiest to just replace the whole sheet of fiberglass coated foam. Where can you get this stuff and what is it called? Thanks Larry
  7. I just bought a 90 Warrior 3.0 V6. It needs some exhaust work. I am thinking about taking this opportunity to upgrade it to dual exhaust or other exhaust improvements. What do you think? Has any one done this? Did you find that it improved power or milege? Are there other exhaust improvements that help? Are there any other general modifications of the engine that seem to improve milege or performance? Thanks Larry
