  1. If you do decide to ever switch to a single tire in the back here is a list of suitable commercial van type tires that will hold almost 5000lbs in the rear. 2469 per tire 225/70R15 Tires | Shop at Priority Tire Linda S
  2. You do realize these lights are much smaller than your existing lights. You're going to make some sort of bracket to mount them to fill in the gap. Here is the wiring colors from your coach On the coach side, the wire colors are: WHITE = Ground GREEN = Tail Lights (running lights) YELLOW = Turn Signal RED = Brake Lite NOTE- Don't cut the white wire that runs to the three metal plates on the assembly. This wire is needed for the Backup light Possible flasher repair 86 Dolphin; flasher is behind kick panel on driver's side, two screws to remove panel. Flasher is green and does not want to come out, leave the cover on and keep prying and pulling straight out. It will come eventually. Notice which side is up. Now remove cover; snip or unsolder teeny little resistor in middle, close to outside edge. I unsoldered, didn't have snips small enough to get it. Snap cover back on, shove it back in. No more quick flash. One more thing. Cheap is pretty always CHEAP. To do so much work and have them fail quickly doesn't sound like a good idea to me Linda S
  3. You need to get it weighed somewhere else. My Sunrader with the full float, heavier than a semi float, AC 100 lbs ,plus a generator, 120 lbs Came in at 5260 fully loaded with weeks worth of camping gear. No way yours weighs more than mine. Have you already switched to 15 inch tires. let me know and I will find the tires Linda S Oh I see you just put tires on it. Doesn't make sense to me if you were considering the change to single wheels but it's your rig
  4. The information I have shows no 4.88 differentials made until 1992. If you know a good mechanic you can just switch the gearing to 4.88. Lots of companies sell them. Linda S
  5. 1992 and up 4x4 truck or 4x4 4runner. The only one I could find with no ABS was the 92 pickup. Don't know if having abs complicates things. This is the site I use to find used parts. Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market Linda S
  6. The advantage in this case is that the window has been removed from the coach. Work can be done on a table. No holding the glass vertically 6 feet up. Linda S
  7. Search Toyota 3.0 exhaust manifold on Google. Many options will come up. Pickup or 4runner both will work Linda S
  8. Flip that frame over and let me see the other side. The side your showing is the inside. Glass goes in from the outside. Show me your rubber seal too Linda S
  9. Think about it. There is no way they installed the glass and rubber seal and then welded to frame together. There must be some way to install it with the frame intact. Here is how it's put together. Difficult but doable Linda S
  10. This RV Salvage yard is about an hour from Portland. A1 RV Recycling And Sales They might have something close but considering the cost of gas maybe I could find something for you. I need the exact dimensions of the opening and a close up picture of the hinge. Even if I find close you need to know that whatever I find will probably need some work done. Altering size of hole, changing hinge, etc. If it was me, I'd buy a plywood scrap, a piano hinge and a latch. Cut to fit and paint it white. Total cost around 20 bucks Linda S
  11. That is such a cute crazy story. I don't think I've ever heard of a motorhome that was passed from neighbor to neighbor it's whole life. No wonder it looks so good. It's been very well loved. Does it have a name? Linda S
  12. Cute, looks to be in good condition. We have seen quite a few of these over the years. They were made from 1984 to 1987 but build time at the motorhome facility made many motorhomes have a truck model one year older than the original sale date of the motorhome. Explains why yours is an 83. Some states go by sale original date but California goes by truck manufacture date. There is no way to know how many were manufactured. NADA doesn't even have the pop top listed, only the larger full sized model made by Ranger called a Rogue, so I'm guessing it was no more than a few hundred. Linda S Well it looks like the pop top was only made from 1984 to 1985. ''Ranger / Grand Sport'' (tilt-top) by Ranger Industries, San Bernardino, CA (’84 - ’85) Considering we have seen quite a few of them I'll stick to my at least several hundred built estimate.
  13. Helps to pay attention to the date things were posted. These are from 5 years ago and Dan hasn't visited us since then. As for the model of your Winnebago, if it looks like this it's a "Toye". Printed right on the side of it. The Toye's were a lower priced model with supposedly cheaper upholstery and finishes. I really don't think they looked that much different than the other models. Welcome to the group Linda S
  14. dawn. Soak rubber seals overnight in soapy water and install without rinsing. They'll slide in like butter. Linda S
  15. No. Not made until 1994 and not used in trucks. Our 3.0 is a VZ engine, this is for an MZ engine Linda S 1MZFE Timing Belt Kit Valve Cover Gasket GMB Water Pump - auto parts - by owner - vehicle automotive sale - craigslist
  16. We have a member here who had over 200,000 miles on his V6. Guess it all depends on how it's cared for. Linda S
  17. Better to post your updates in your own thread. Spungo's thread is long and information you might add can be hard to find if you have to go through hundreds of posts. We are always looking for new teachers here. With pictures when you can. Linda S
  18. Drain the trannie before you start the work. Replacing the fluid needs to be occasionally anyway Linda S
  19. You are doing a beautiful job. I'm hoping you are still posting when you get to the Chevy 350. I'm intrigued. I know one member with a turbo charged 4.3. Same engine with 2 cylinders deleted kind of. Makes for a better fit. Linda S
  20. I'd complain about the tires. I see no examples of them online without the letters. That's false advertising. People shop for tires because of the way they look, not just the specs. Linda S
  21. I think the most important thing is to buy local, simply because so many of these seem to have flaws. You need to return it easily. NAPA carries an alternator from Denso and that is pretty much OEM. Alternator - Remanufactured DEN 2100112 | Buy Online - NAPA Auto Parts (napaonline.com) Truth is when I changed mine, I bought a very expensive one from an auto parts store who mainly serviced professionals. It didn't work. Replaced it with one from Autozone that is still working fine more than 15 years later. Ya just never know. Linda S
  22. Sounds like you got a bad alternator. Another member had to go through 3 before he found one that worked properly. Take it back Linda S
  23. Replacing the timing chain is not cheap. Lots needs to come off the engine to get to it. Linda S
  24. The 22re is an interference engine BUT if the head has never been worked on,resurfaced, there is a chance the chain can break and not do major damage. You said it was noisy. Might have been the plastic chain guides were worn. No way of knowing the damage without taking it apart Linda S
