  1. 1985 Toyota Dolphin sr22 automatic Does anyone know the fluid temp range to ck the the cold band/circle AND the hot band/circle? Thanks, Hunter
  2. Does anyone know if I drain the fresh water tank, does it also drain the Hot Water tank? Or if there is a separate drain valve on the HWH tank? Or any suggestions? 1985 Toyota Dolphin. Thanks, Hunter
  3. Thanks Linda. I thought it was 15 gallons because of the gauge. This gives me peace of mind and a little more range.
  4. Does anyone know the gas tank size (gallons) for 1985 Dolphin?

    Click ping

Thanks for your help. Let's see what I can do.

    Click ping

I took the battery to be tested, the posts tested OK, but the threaded pins tested Replace. So I thought, OK this is it, bought a new battery, fully charged, still get the ping. Everything works Shore power, with the battery unattached, no ping. Where is the thermal cut out, what does it look like, can it be reset, would the ping sound if it were "cut out", seems the battery supplies the energy to make the ping sound. The battery is connected correctly. Using Buss 15 amp fuses, could one of these not be breaking when it should, would it be worth changing them all out? What device is making the ping sound, could it be bad, if so how can this be tested? Thanks for your help.

    Click ping

1985 Dolphin. The main breaker on the house panel, battery side, 12v. stopped working. Will not shut off power to the lights, and water pump. The main breaker for the ac still works. I took out the battery and reinstalled it ( with no shore power hooked up) Now I have no lights, water pump, etc. on the battery side, with a click and ping coming from behind the panel 10-15 second intervals. Shore power works, but the click ping is still there, and it is louder with ac power than the dc power alone. If I disconnect the battery and connect the shore power everything works and the click ping does NOT come on. Does anyone have experience with this problem? Solutions? Thanks, Hunter
  8. Any reasons why? Any suggestions on how to fix? Thanks

Thanks for the detailed 101. It does help me understand, what's what and where and when. I'm liking the solar more and more. Any ideas what models, etc. I know little about solar and RVs. I am on a budget, and the RV is mostly for 2-4 day outings with no hookups. 2 people. Modest power consumption. Fixed to the roof would be nice, but is it particle to get enough sunlight, or portable to move with the sun?

Using the inverter to power the outlets may be counterproductive the converter is wired to the electrical 120 volt panel so plugged into the converter will try to charge the battery all the while the inverter is taking power from it. There is a work around but it is complicated. The converter isn't charging > Pretty old. Is the converter also what detects shore power, and switches off the battery? If not, I think I will disconnect the converter to the battery. This should eliminate the cycle, correct? I would like to install a smart charger, direct from the engine generator. If this is all possible, how hard would it be to install the inverter through the panel? Perhaps I could use the wiring from the old converter, if the wire gauge is correct? Basically swapping them out in line. What do you think? Also, do I need a specific pure sine wave to do this, along with the ability to solar charge?

Hi, I'm doing much better, with input like this, Thanks. are you plugging the appliances straight into the inverter, or is the inverter inline from the batteries, through the elect. panel, to the outlets? I'm certainly going to look into the Walmart suggestions. Does the inverter have a built in breaker?

Thanks for the information. I would like to run a small watt microwave in short bursts, tv., small fan, charge devices off the battery or batteries. Would like to use solar to charge battery. Thinking of a 2000w inverter, what do you think.
