  1. Thank you Linda S! You definitely are not mean! I got my tracking number and am looking forward to driving home!
  2. Well, I don't know for sure it wont work. What I do know is the ones we have extracted from other cars did not work. If this is what I need I would be willing to pay for it. I was not trying to upset you, I have looked into so many and what the mechanic told me is what I went by. Hopefully you are just being funny and not cruel... I am about to have the speed sensor overridden. I would rather have the part. I just drove 3 days back to Austin to either move the RV or have it fixed. Thank you for finding the part. This has been a very difficult process. Thank you everyone for your help and advise. Dave 408-504-8255
  3. It can be driven and yes it can be shifted manually, it will not go past 4th gear. The problem is I have to take it 1800 miles back home. It will burn out my transmission before I leave Texas. So far I have tried sensors off of the cars listed, none work.
  4. Linda, it is not a matter of "believing" Toyota. I have spoken with Toyota as well as Toyota Parts. We have concluded that this item was only available on the Toyota RV's dating 1986-91 I wish I could find something that would work. I really am frustrated with this, yet I am not trying to mock you or anything like that. i just want to find the part so I can get my beloved RV back home. Thats all.... Dave
  5. The more I look into this the more I am seeing that it may have to come from a similar RV with a V6 within the years 1986-91 For some reason we are hitting a brick wall finding this particular item. I have been looking for Yards with Toyota RV's. Any suggestions would be great.
  6. JJRBUS I think you cracked the code! I have a part ordered that looks just like the one I am seeking. Thank you for all your help! I will let you all know how it goes. I hope to be driving her home on Tuesday. Thanks again everyone for your help!
  7. It is Pre August 1991, seems to be why we have not found the right one. Thank you for your help!
  8. It is a different part, the part I am looking for is Pre-Aug 1991 The Cressida has a cable for the speedometer, the speedometer for this kind of Transmission is controlled by the sensor. We got the part number from looking up the VIN on the RV. We also found that the updated part has the same exact part number. I bought one from Auto Zone in TX. It is very different. Onward and upward! I just spoke to a parts house that specializes in hard to find parts. I hope they can help. I am also contacting anyone parting out 1986-91 Toyota's with a V6, not many out there. So if anyone runs across one I would love to know of it.
  9. Thank you Linda! I called, then texted on this part. My main concern is the ECT on the dashboard. I think the sensor also controls it, the ECT is like overdrive but kicks in much faster to get you over hills or mountains. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I do feel I will need to find the part on a similar RV. Again, thank you so much for the link!! You guys on this site are very helpful, it is refreshing to have such a network available. Dave
  10. It also regulates the heat of the engine. With out the sensor there are multiple things not working. I am still looking for this item. The clock is running out for me as I have to bring the car back to Tx I borrowed to get home. I hope I can find one soon.
  11. Hi Everybody, I'm the guy with the 1991 Toyota stuck in Tx. The RV is still in Tx and I am back in California. I will check on that speed shop. The part has not been found. I think we will have to get one off of a similar model. I would also be willing to have one made. I am open to suggestions. I have attached pictures of the item I am looking for.
  12. My speed sensor went out on my 1991 Issica V6. The sensor is located on the transmission, I have attached photos. I have checked with dealers, junk yards and every auto parts house I can find. Any help would be great! The part number is 89411-22061
