  1. More than likely it is. The top mount should be the same. The shocks should be sitting like this / \ When looking from the back I believe. Either way I am sure the type of shock is the same. eyelet on both sides. The length is the only thing that may change if they moved the lower mount but I am sure not by much if any. If you didnt want to verify what is there. Going with a stocker spec will get you the right thing if not close.
  2. Shoot you a reply here as well. Only thing I would also check is the thermostat. Not totally necessary, but good piece of mind. How do you know the pump is bad. Weeping out of the bottom? Make sure that is the culprit as well.
  3. Tim, On the water pump. All I can say is to go ahead and maybe replace the thermostat while you are in there as well. Will make sure you are good to go. I like to use factory toyota parts if at all possible, especially something like the water pump that is a little tough to get to. Use a Toyota gasket on it and you shouldn't have a problem. Redwood the AC unit was in there when I got it. it is plugged into an outlet in the lower compartment that is used for the fridge. Who ever put it in at least just slid the window over and sealed it up with wood and foam. So I can always convert back if need be. I have not had it out yet, I will be getting a small 1800 watt generator that will handle the 15 amp circuit that is in the back.
  4. Wanted to say hello, Site has been alot of help as of late. Picked up a 77' Chinook last month from a good friend and have been getting it ready ever since. Some may have seen pics of it on other sites. These pics are from BlazerChalet.com from previous owners I assume. Only way I know it is the exact same one I now have is the sticker locations and the wonderful AC unit in the window. Makes the truck SO much nicer. So far the thing runs like a top. Just did some standard maintanence and tune up. THe alternator was shot. Got a new alternator and isolator, replaced the water pump for the rear sink. and replaced the carpet all throughout. Have to get some pics of the mods. So far everything sems to work fridge, electronics. Just need to test the propane lines for the stove and the heater. It is all still original. Only thing looking rough is the T-trim going around the counters, and I have some U channel on order to cap all of that off. Looks like it will be ready for many trips away. I am a Toyota addict. Have a 66' Land cruiser, 94' Pickup now buggy, and 99' Corolla. This just adds to the list. Now I am hooked on the RV's Thanks alot, hope to help where I can, I do know a lot on Toyotas, and can share info as much as possible. Michael Jamison
