  1. Scotty, I just wanted to log in to say THANK YOU! The French cream is an absolute perfect match for my 1981 Toyota Dolphin. Couldn't have imagined to have found such a close match. Thanks again!!!
  2. So, I'm really curious what people think about the true mileage of our recently purchased Dolphin... I know there may not be any way to ever tell the true mileage because of the 5 digit odometer, but the more we are working on it the more it just feels like a time capsule that has just sat around in the desert forever. Either way we only paid $1,500 total so I'm not overly concerned, although it would be nice to get peoples opinions. Those of you who have odometers that turned over, are the numbers still aligned or were they thrown off a bit? Video attached shows me going over a few of the things that seem like they date it a little to me, really curious what y'all think about this...
  3. Ok, well based on everyone's advice we will definitely strip that junk off. Just got our replacement axle installed, hoping to have this thing driveable by tonight. Then we hope to make it from Phoenix to Dallas starting tomorrow morning...a bit rushed but road safe I think. This thing only has 40k miles on it... wish us luck!!
  4. We bought this 1981 Dolphin at a great price, but the roof is a bit funky, they've put asphalt roofing sheets on top, and it's definitely not totally waterproof, and there is at least some leakage happening in the cabover area. My question is, if we want to recoat the roof with an EPDM roof sealer type coating, should we just pour directly onto this stuff, or should we try to rip/scrape it all off first?
